FAQ

Common questions.

What does Exactlee Design & Development do?

Exactlee is the design and consulting practice of Lee Wilkerson. It covers product design, SolidWorks CAD modeling, prototyping, composites and mold-making, CNC machining consulting, and manufacturing-process help — taking a project from a rough idea all the way to a finished, manufacturable product.

Who is Lee Wilkerson?

A degreed mechanical engineer (B.S. Mechanical Engineering) and serial entrepreneur based in San Luis Obispo, California. He founded Space Campers, was a business partner at Whalebird Kombucha, and the lead engineer at WISErg.

Where is Exactlee located?

San Luis Obispo, California. Lee works on-site with local clients and remotely for clients elsewhere.

Is Lee a licensed Professional Engineer (PE)?

No. Lee is a degreed mechanical engineer, not a licensed PE. Work that needs a PE stamp — permit-ready structural calculations, certified analyses, or code sign-off — is outside his scope, and he'll point you to the right person.

What kinds of projects does Lee take on?

Product design and development, composite parts and molds, CNC and machining consulting, prototyping, 3D scanning and CAD, design-to-build documentation, and startup or business advisory.

Can Lee help take a product from idea to production?

Yes — that's the core of Exactlee: design, engineering, prototyping, and the manufacturing handoff, plus the business side when it's needed.
